It's a GIRL and Carpenters in a Disney commercial

Yesterday was the greatest! I found out my sister, Jill, is having a girl! So exciting! Not surprised....guess that's the only thing the Lorenz girls can produce. LOL!

And, during an assembly at school, I received a text from my friend, Liz, that said, "You're famouse". I was totally confused, but thought it must have something to do with Disney due to the spelling of famousE. I texted her back, "HUH?" To which she replied that Disney had just launched their new campaign, "Let the Memories begin" and our video was the opener to the commercial! Well, I was frantic to find it! My friend, Kelly and I went back to my room to look for it while the kids were in the assembly.....and we couldn't find it! We searched and searched and finally found it when Liz sent me the link.

Here's the best one and what they used to introduce the new campaign, "Let the Memories Begin" in NY:

Here's the 30 second commercial we love:

Here's the other commercial we made it into:

And here's the original video we had on youtube that Disney found and contacted us about:

We were sooooo excited! Everytime I watch it, I get tears in my eyes! I know everyone just thinks I'm a Disney nut, but as a little girl, I wanted to go to Disney so badly! My dad wanted to be able to take us, but we never got to go. I said that when I have kids, they will go to Disney World. Now, not only have my kids been to Disney, but they are in a Disney commercial! That's a dream come true for me. I'm so happy to be able to take my kids to Disney and make lasting memories that they will take with them hopefully for the rest of their lives.

PINK

So, today was the day Jadyn finally got her cast. The Cambridge orthopedic surgeons were on vacation and couldn't get her in until 2:30 Thursday, so I called Zanesville and they got her in today. He said it didn't require surgery. She'd missed the growth plate...so glad! Dr. Layne was the doctor. After he looked at her x-rays with us, he left so the nurse could show her the color choices. While we were waiting, she literally fell off the exam table. I'm not kiddin' ya! She was leaning on a step stool and completely fell forward onto the floor. The child is the most accident prone kid! She's a coordinated clumsy! Since Tara and Jeff's wedding is next weekend and the colors are pink and orange, she got a pink cast. VERY PINK!
They said it is waterproof, but if she gets it wet today, she should keep it dry the next. Two days in a row would be too much, but that she could completely submerge it in chlorinated water! Woo Hoo! She can stll swim! Thank God! I was thinking she'd be miserable! She only needs to wear it for 4 weeks and they'll x-ray it again and remove the cast. Her appointment is August 3 at 9:40 a.m. She'll still have a few weeks of summer left without a cast!
Here's what the report said:

There has been a cortical buckle fracture of the distal radius

centered at the metadiaphyseal junction. Cortical buckling is primary

along the dorsal aspect. The ulna and carpal bones are intact.

It's Broken!

Last night, Byesville had fireworks that they let off I'd guess from Jackson Park because we had a perfect view from our back deck. We didn't even know they were doing them. The girls had gone to bed and Jadyn came down saying she could see them from her window. So, we all went out to the back deck to watch. Jadyn tried moving one of the chairs to another spot on the deck. Apparently, she didn't have one of the legs of the chair on the deck, but rather on the steps. When she sat down, the chair fell backwards down the stairs with Jadyn in it. She ran in the house immediately saying she think she broke her arm. But see, Jadyn has this high tolerance for pain. She barely reacted. She never cried. We got the boo boo bear ice pack out of the freezer and she slept on the couch. I told her if it still hurt in the morning, we'd go get some x-rays.  Well, in the morning she was still babying it so we went to the ER around noon. I was totally expecting them to just say it was a sprain, but sure enough, it was BROKEN! They said the fracture was in her wrist. Bad weekend for it since it's the 4th of July. Most dr. offices are closed on Monday so I left a message with Alquami's office that we'd like to get in on Tuesday. We are hoping to get a waterproof cast in hot pink for Tara's wedding on the 17th since Jadyn is a flowergirl.  Here she is with her temporary cast they did in the hospital. She as to wear this until she sees Dr. Alquami.
And the one below is her being silly

Eclipse midnight show

Jodi, Val, and I decided on the way home from New Moon that since Eclipse was going to be out June 30th, we were definitely in for the midnight show. So, back in May, I pre-ordered the tickets. I had, at the time 3 options: 12:01, 12:02, or 12:03. I decided to go with 12:03 thinking maybe that the 12:03 theater wouldn't fill up as soon. Well, as it turns out, it was a pretty good decision. No way I could've known that it would be the shortest line and would be seated 1st! Woo hoo!

But, when we arrived at 9:00 at the mall, Jodi ran in to print off our tickets and saw this:

People were playing euchre, eating, and actually doing things on laptops. We were going to go eat somewhere else, but panicked and decided we'd just eat at Garfield's and get in line. It was perfect timing! We ate, had a few drinks, and then headed to stand in the crowd. Turns out, there were nearly 10 different lines. We were in theater 9 so we asked around until we found it and couldn't believe it was the shortest one. Oh, and once we found it, they literally let us in! I mean, all those people were camped out and we just walked up and they let us in! Ashley McCauley had texted me asking about the lines. She showed up as we were entering and booked it in leading us to have the perfect seats up top. We were 2nd row from the top seats 1,2 and 3. (Ashley and Ashley Phillips were right in front of us.)

This is a pic that kept us entertained for the 2 hour wait for Eclipse. Everyone had pickles in our row. I mean, the theater sold out of pickles. Now for my Texas friends, I realize that pickles are apparently a staple at the movies, it's relatively new in Ohio. And boy, is it taking off! Everyone and their kid had a jumbo pickle! Jodi couldn't get over the pickles. She was tweaking out.

Notice everyone with a pickle in the background and Jodi cracking up!

I had made us buttons on Zazzle and was worried because the day before Eclipse, they hadn't yet arrived! Luckily, the buttons arrived and we had them for the show!

Here we are sporting our buttons when we first arrived at the mall.

And a close-up of the button.

And here we are in the theater:

Eclipse was probably my favorite in the series and the movie was by far the best yet. Now, I have to admit, I cannot wait to see Breaking Dawn, especially the pillow scenes. LOL! But basically, we really enjoyed the movie and plan to go together again, of course, for the next movie! Can't wait!

Update!!
I submitted our photos for the TwiShare Eclipse website and we made it:

We are about 1/2 way down the page!

Safety Town

So, I was thinking the other day that I really don't get my pictures developed in the digital age. I post a lot to FB and have a gazillion stored on to my computer and phone, but am bad about actually printing them off...which led me to wanting to make a blog to keep photos and memories straight.

So, this past week was Safety Town sponsored by the Pilot Club. Lainey was really excited to go...that is until she found out that she HAD to wear the required Safety Town shirt EVERY day. (She had just gotten new clothes and wanted to show them off.) She finally came to terms with this dreaded fashion dilemna and had a great time at Safety Town. She proudly carried in her Princess helmet every day anxious to ride the bikes on the safety course. She really only attempted one more time to try to convince me she should be able to wear another shirt on her graduation day, but as you can see, she wore the shirt like everyone else. Every day, she came home and immediately changed the shirt. Overall, Safety Town was a success! She was disappointed that it was over.                                                                Safety Town Graduate
